Fall is here! It's time to watch the leaves change, get excited about football games and enjoy the cooler weather. There are so many activities to do in the fall, and we've put together a few activities that you can enjoy with your four-legged friend.

1. Pumpkin Picking
Enjoy the crisp autumn air with your pup in a pumpkin patch. There are many farms that will let you bring your dog with you, but it's always a good idea to check first. Your pup can help you sniff out the perfect pumpkin!
2. Costume Contest
Costume contests are a hilarious way to spend time with your four-legged friend and meet plenty of other people who love their pets just as much! These contests are tons of fun, and often times there are many awards to be won. With Halloween on its way there are sure to be costume contests near you!

3. Hiking
It's a beautiful time of the year to be outside. Bundle up and hit the trails with your pup to see the leaves changing colors and get some exercise. While your dog won't be able to see the range of colors you do there will be plenty of fun smells to explore!

4. Camping
Are you looking for a weekend away with your four-legged friend? Or just trying to spend a little more time outdoors? Camping is a great way for you and your dog to unplug from the rest of the world and relax. Fall is a great time of year to sleep under the stars and roast some marshmallows, just remember safety first!
5. Football Fun
It's football season again! Time for you and your pup to to dust off those jerseys, pack up the cooler and head out for some "tail"gating! Your dog will love getting to spend some extra time with you. Pack some extra waters, and a few balls to throw around and you'll both have a great time! Just make sure your destination is dog-friendly.
6. Pumpkin or Apple Flavored Treats
There are so many amazing, fresh, seasonal flavors to work with in the fall. On a rainy day try cooking up a new recipe or two for your four-legged friend. Pumpkin and apple are readily available this time of year and your pet will love trying some new treats!

7. Apple Picking
Just like pumpkin picking, taking a trip out to the apple orchard is a great way to spend an afternoon with Fido. Enjoy the fresh air, sniff out the perfect apples and have fun trying out some new recipes when you get home. Just remember to check ahead of time and make sure your local orchard is dog-friendly.
8. Play in the Leaves
Are you looking for something a little closer to home? Just step out into your backyard and have your pup help you clean up the leaves! They'll have fun rolling around and smelling everything and you'll have a chance to get some great Instagram-worthy photos of your best friend!

9. Hayride or Corn maze
Many farms will offer hayrides and create elaborate corn mazes this time of year. These are fun ways to get out and try something new with your pup. See how fast the two of you can find your way out of the maze!

10. Off-Season Travel Destinations
Many families are busy in the fall, kids head off to school and numerous travel destinations quiet down. This is a great time of the year to bring your four-legged friend on a trip! The weather is still nice enough to go out and have fun, but the crowds are gone and many places become more dog-friendly.
